Long before there was a herd, there was only the swamp: mud, mist, and a lot of creatures who gave up the moment things got hard. Then came one donkey with a very simple rule. He did not move until he decided to.
CHAPTER 2
The Golden Coin
One foggy morning, half buried in the mud, DonK found a coin that glowed. The frogs told him to leave it. The crows told him to trade it. The turtle told him to wait. DonK did none of those things. He held on through the rain, the fog, and every laugh.
CHAPTER 3
The Herd Arrives
Stubbornness turned out to be contagious. One by one, other animals wandered over, curious about the donkey who would not let go. They did not come for the coin. They came for the company, the jokes, and a reason to hold the line together. That was the day the swamp got a herd.
